Danny Kingsbury Joins Torres Media Group as Executive Programming Advisor

Torres Media Group is pleased to announce that Danny Kingsbury has been hired into a new role as Executive Programming Advisor. Kingsbury spent over 41 years in Canadian radio. He is a former Vice-President/General Manager/Director at Rogers Sports and Media with experience ranging from on-air, programming, promotion, digital strategies, regulatory, administration, to sales, operations, and most recently as National Format Director, Rock Radio. Kingsbury is also Chair of The Snowsuit Fund.

Torres Media Group Promotes Tim Wieczorek, Kim Elliot, Elle Volanis, and Dan Pollard

Markham, Ontario – August 14, 2020.

Torres Media Group today promoted Tim Wieczorek to Executive VP Radio for the group. Tim was instrumental in double digit growth of Rebel 101.7 in Ottawa. A thirty plus year veteran of radio and former GM and GSM for both independent and corporate broadcasters

Kim Elliot will take on the role of VP Sales for the group. Kim is a former sales manager at SkyWords with 16 years of radio experience.

Elle Volanis takes on a new role as VP Syndicated Programming to Torres Media. Elle was formerly Program Director at SkyWords with 14 years of media experience.

Dan Pollard will take on responsibilities for the newest station in the chain, K Country 93.7 in addition to his duties in Uxbridge as the VP Central Region Radio. Dan is a broadcast veteran who has worked for Q107, CBC Sports and TSN.
